Occasionaly, Fr. Lyubo is visiting parishes of Palmerston North, and Christchurch. During these times, there are no services in Wellington.

His eminence Bishop Irineos, the Bishop of Serbian Orthodox diocese of Australia and New Zealand, and the administrator of Serbian Orthodox diocese of Australia and New Zealand of Metropols of New Gracxanica, will be in New Zealand from 13th to 16th November 2009.

During this short and busy visit, His Eminence will be conducting Holy Liturgy service in our parochial church, St. Sava, in Island Bay, Wellington, on Saturday, 14th November 2009, at 10:00. All belivers and friends of the parish are cordially invited to the service and the communal prayer.

All parishioners, believers, and friends of our community are cordially invited to the church meal, which will be hosted by the parish at our church hall after the service. His Eminence will be staying in Wellington for a very short time, so this is a unique opportunity to salute and meet our Bishop.

The parish will gratefully receive your contributions towards the meal, in victuals, beverages, or financial.

Fr. Lyubo is teaching katehesis and Serbian language to a group of children from our parish. The lessons are conducted for about an hour, after the Sunday services, at the parish premises.

As the children are of various ages, there is a need to split them into two age groups. The lessons will go in parallel to both groups, with one taking the katehesis and the other the Serbian language lessons, interleaved. The lessons will be adjusted to the age of the children in the group.

If you have school aged children, and you wish for your children to receive Christian education and to learn Serbian language, culture, and history, please, contact Fr. Lyubo. The Sunday school is regularly operating at church premises.

If you feel a need to confess your sins, you may do so at any time, whether fasting or not, whether in preparation for communion or not. Confession and repentance are necessary sacraments, through which we recognise our falls and wrongdoings, and plea for forgiveness and release from sin.
